How to Make Your Piano Recital Performance Successful

Below is a list of frequently asked questions pertaining to taking lessons at the Mascari Piano Studios. If you need answers to questions not addressed on this page, please contact us at scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com.

Lesson Appointments

Q: How do I reschedule this week’s lesson?
A: Contact our scheduling manager at: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com.

Q: How do I know if there is a lesson when it snows?
A: Lessons will be held as usual (regardless of public school closings). If the Studio will be closed, you will be contacted no later than 1:00 PM on the day of the storm.

Q: What should I do if I can’t make one of my lessons at a future date?
A: Let us know the date as far in advance as possible by contacting our scheduling manager at: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com.

Q: Can I change my lesson day and/or time permanently if some other activity causes a schedule conflict?
A: We will make every effort possible to make the change if you give the Studio a minimum of two (2) weeks notice and there is an appointment available.

Q: How do I let my teacher know if I need to cancel my lesson at the last minute?
A: Contact our scheduling manager at: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com or call 978-212-2867.

Q: What should I do if I need to discontinue my lessons?
A: Contact our scheduling manager at: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com
Please note: Students/parents are required to give ONE MONTH’S NOTICE if the student wishes to discontinue lessons (temporarily or permanently) for any reason.

Q: When can I reserve my lesson appointment for the fall?
A: You can reserve your fall lesson appointment (based on availability) any time after June 1st by email your request to: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com

Q: What happens if I will be away on vacation?
A: Let us know the date as far in advance as possible by contacting our scheduling manager at: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com.

Q: If I miss a lesson for any reason, can I make it up?
A:  You can schedule up to a maximum of three make-up (3) lessons per year (including those missed due to snow or storm closings) during the MAKE-UP WEEKS.
Note: Up to one (1) make-up lesson at the student’s regularly scheduled appointment may be scheduled during each of the three make-up weeks.
Note: To qualify for a make-up lesson, 24 hour notice of cancellation is required by email: scheduling@mascaripianostudios.com or by phone: 978-212-2867.

Studio Calendar Dates

Q: When do lessons begin in the fall?
A: Lessons begin on the day after Labor Day each year.

Q: When do lessons end in the spring?
A: Lessons end on the third Friday of June each year.
Please check Studio Calendar for the specific date.

Q: Can I continue my lessons during the summer?
A: Lessons are available all summer beginning on the last week of June. Our unique Flexible Schedule Piano Lesson program will make it easy for to take as many lessons as you would like to take during the summer.

Q: Are there lessons during school vacations?
A: There are no lessons during public school vacations.
Please note: There are lessons, however, on certain school holidays.

Q: Are there lessons during the three Make-up weeks?
A: Only students who have reserved make-up lessons will have lessons during the three Make-up weeks. Please check Studio Calendar for the specific dates.

Q: When is the recital?
A: Each year, the Natick Student Recital is held on the second Sunday of June and the Hudson Student Recital is held on the fourth Sunday of June.

Billing and Payments

Q: When is the monthly tuition payment due?
A: Every monthly tuition payment is due on or before the first (1st) of each month.
Q: Will you notify me when the payment is due?
A: You will receive an email reminder/invoice no later than seven (7) days prior to the due date.

Q: Is the tuition payment the same every month?
A: The tuition payment amount is always the same amount.
Please note: The Standard Lesson Program is based on the 34-week / 10 month academic year (September – June). Therefore the tuition payment amount is same whether there are the usual four (4) half hour lessons, five (5) or three (3) during a particular month.

Q: How do I pay for lessons?
A: The easiest way to pay for lessons is to use the secure PayPal system.
Please note: Instructions are included in the invoice and you do not have to be a PayPal member. For your convenience, credit cards may be used to pay your tuition payments.

Q: Where do I send my tuition payment if I don’t use PayPal?

Q: Can I pay my tuition payment using online banking?
A: You can certainly use your online banking to pay your tuition payments.
